Puzzle quality principles

GridCipher puzzles are original, concise, and designed to resolve to a single intended solution. Clues are written to be clear and unambiguous, with difficulty labels based on the amount of deduction required.

Prohibited content

We avoid stereotypes, hate, harassment, and sensitive personal data. Puzzle content should be broadly appropriate and focused on neutral, fictional scenarios.

Correction policy

If an error is found, we update the puzzle JSON and rebuild the site so the corrected content appears on the canonical URL. Report issues via the contact page.

AI usage policy

AI tools may assist with early drafts or brainstorming, but final puzzle content is reviewed and edited by a human. All published wording is checked for clarity and originality.

Versioning

Published puzzles are intended to be stable. If a correction is required, the canonical URL remains the same and the updated content replaces the prior version.
